Our volunteers offer a spirit of hospitality and generosity in meeting all of our guests. |
ABOUT OUR FOOD PANTRY |
We are staffed entirely by our dedicated volunteers. The food and many non-perishable items come from a number of reliable sources. Schools and churches conduct drives, the generosity of individuals bring donations directly to the pantry door and many low priced items and USDA Commodities are obtained through the Nebraska Food Bank. Financial support is offered through donor contributions and government grants. Many of the conferences also have food pantries at their parish location, and it is very common for Vincentians to bring along a bag or two of groceries when making a home visit to someone who has made a request for assistance. Vincentian volunteers work in the food pantry four days each week. On Mondays and Wednesdays groceries are bagged and carefully prepared for distribution. Thank you for your support ! __________________ |
