Need Emergency Assistance or Other Help?
To request help with rent or utilities call our Help Line at 402-346-5445 or email or see your local parish.
Our thrift stores hope to stay open to keep low price items available and to receive donations from you who want to help. We review this decision on a daily basis. Call before you come. As long as we're open we do need volunteers to help our small staff. If you're willing, contact us to see when we can schedule you in.
Pantry is Open
The food pantry is still open as a drive-thru on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-12:30, but this could change due to rationing/safety. Once every two weeks each household may receive a sack of staple groceries such as canned goods, peanut butter, rice, and pasta as well as meat and fresh produce when available. Pantry location is 2101 Leavenworth Street,
Donate your time
We need volunteers to help our small staff keep the stores and pantry running well. If you feel called to help, please email We will reply and get you on a schedule that works for you and us.
Donate Your Treasure
The simplest and safest way to help at this point in time is to donate money. We can buy food at great discounts from the Food Bank for the Heartland. We have about two weeks of food currently in the pantry, but expect demand to skyrocket as people are laid off from work and are staying home with kids whose schools are closed. As we continue to support many others in need through our Stores, Conferences, Ozanam Outreach and now the Holy Family Ministries, any financial help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Consider us in your long term and estate planning as well.

We are running short on food supplies for the people coming to us for support.
It may be only a couple of weeks before we run out of key items to care for the people coming to us for support. The Food Bank, which supplies some of our food pantry stock, is also running short, so we need your help to feed our neighbors. If you could please consider adding these items to your grocery shopping and donating them to our pantry, we would be so grateful, as will the families who need our help so desperately. • Mac n cheese • Sugar • Flour • Ramen noodles • Cake mixes • Beans • Rice • Canned tuna • Fresh veggies • Fresh fruit • Potatoes If shopping is a problem for you, please consider donating a gift card or donate online to assist our pantry needs.
Schedule a Donation Pickup
Gently used clothing, furniture and household items may be scheduled for pick up at your home or business. Call Monday - Friday 9a-5p 402-341-1688

Our safety procedures include asking people to remain 6 feet apart, limiting numbers to 10 per location, constant sanitizing, offering boxes and bags of food in a drive through or placing sack lunches on a table for people to take. At the pantry you may have to get out of your car to pick up the box off of a table. Donation truck drivers are wearing disposable gloves and changing them after every pickup. The pantry has a bucket of bleach water at the door for gloved hands to sanitize after each box handout. The office is sanitizing regularly, limiting meetings or using online and conference call options. All events are postponed. Vincentian volunteers are connecting with people in need over the phone rather than in person visits.
