The Society of St. Vincent de Paul are men and women
offering person - to - person assistance to individuals in need.
We are individuals rooted in prayer and sound core values.
We are called to reach out to a brother or sister in need on a daily basis.
Perhaps it is a phone call from someone who is or
will be evicted from their home;  because, a mortgage payment is
over due, the utility bills are higher than usual or hours
from their work had been cut in half.
What ever the reason, we answer the call !
Store visits, pantry lines and office calls reveal the reality that many of our
brothers and sisters through no fault of their own need a helping hand.
Therefore, the Society is a beacon of hope for the many who
make a request for assistance..  READ MORE

It has been reported by the National Society that over
12 million seek assistance throughout the year.
The pantry here in Omaha served over 17, 000
individuals this past year alone.
Through prayer and discernment our Vicentians seek
out ways to serve those most in need.  We do this by offering
compassion and financial assistance.

THANK YOU OMAHA !
Jesus knew that his mission was not to
be continued by mere humans; on our
own authority and power we could not
give true witness and our doubts and
misunderstandings could never be
overcome.  Jesus knew that his mission
could be entrusted to his disciples
because they will receive power when
the Holy Spirit comes upon them. It is
the Spirit who resolves doubt, clears
up misunderstanding about the
mission, gives wisdom, revelation, and
knowledge.  Thus, being disciples of
Jesus is not something we are alone.
We are disciples by letting the Spirit
work through us as we live our
everyday life.
