WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is an international organization of
Catholic laypersons who see their work on behalf of the poor as a means
of living their faith.  Members visit the homes of those seeking assistance to
provide help with a personal touch in meeting those bare necessities.

The Society’s Omaha Council consists of 38 “conferences” at area parishes
which handle many calls for help and also support city-wide “special works”.
These works include 3 Thrift Stores and Pantry.
Helping those in need by providing resources for services

CALLED FROM THE BURDEN OF DOUBT
INTO THE LIGHT OF FAITH.
Lord Jesus, you who willed to become poor,
give us eyes and a heart directed toward the poor.
Help us to recognize you in them-in their hunger
and thirst,  their loneliness and suffering.

En-kindle within us the fire of love that burned in
the hearts of St. Vincent and Blessed Frederic,
so that we will live our mission and
core values with integrity.

THOSE WHO GIVE,  FIND ENRICHMENT IN
THEIR MISSION OF BRINGING HELP
AND HOPE TO OTHERS.

YOUR LIGHT OF FAITH AND YOUR GIFT
WILL BRING COMFORT TO SOMEONE
IN NEED; AND, BRING
REASSURING BLESSINGS TO YOU.
